Flea Killer
You have to use a flea killer if you get a flea infestation in your house as flea bites can be irritating and may even result in diseases being spread, most of the time flea bites result in a red mark some swelling, irritation and itching. If you do have a single flea in your home it can take a very few weeks to grow into an infestation in your home, so it is vital that you kill the fleas off as soon as you can, you have several steps you must take to ensure the flea breading cycle is broken, kill the fleas in the home and introduce measures to prevent the fleas returning back to your home.
Fleas often enter your home on your pets, fleas can jump great distances and so they hop from tall grass or other animals onto your pets and they then burrow deep into the fur to feed on the blood, they often hop off when thy enter your home as the carpets you have are very similar to them as the fur of your pet, obviously there is no blood in your carpet for the fleas to feed on so they often go looking for a new host and it could be your pets again or you and your family.
There is some good news and you should take hart as you can start now with some preventative measures such as using a flea killer on your pet such as Advantage or Front line, these stop the fleas breading once they have bitten a pet that has been treated with the anti flea medication, the number of fleas in your home will be reduced greatly as they are unable to reproduce, this is a preventative measure and if you do not have fleas in your home at the moment it is a good idea to begin treatments as soon as you can, the same is true if you have just got rid of a flea infestation, begin the Advance or Front line treatments now.
To restrict the entry of fleas into your home you may like to think of using some natural flea killers and repellents such as Pennyroyal, Citronelle and Cedar, if these are strategically placed around your home, at points where fleas are likely to gain entry then these will control the flea problems. If you have a flea infestation in your home you may like to use a faster more direct approach of using a flea fogger to kill fleas in the area and stop the larvae in the flea eggs developing into new adults that continue the cycle of flea infestations, bites and treatments.
A word of warning the flea foggers are toxic and flammable chemicals so you will need to ensure the instructions are always followed when you use the foggers, if you have a very bad infestation or you are unsure of the best way to clear out the fleas then a professional pest exterminator may be the best way to go when it comes to killing fleas quickly, depending on your budget professional flea killer may be your best option.
